It can be made with various varietals, including Gamay, Pinot Noir, Gamaret and Garanoir. In this case it is a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Gamay. Great versatile wine, it accompanies very well a lot of different dishes.
Tasting Notes: The bouquet evokes red fruits such as cherry, raspberry and blackcurrant; light smoky character. Rather fruity on the palate, smooth, round, with medium tannins; well balanced and medium-bodied. It nicely marries the earthy character of Pinot with the fruit of the Gamay.
